Activision CEO says there will be another console out to challenge the Wii U next year.
Activisions President and CEO has stated the there will be another console to challenge the Wii U and he sees both consoles being very successful.
Speaking about the next generation consoles Kotick had this to say:
We can’t really talk too much about next generation console plans,” said Kotick when asked by those on the investment conference call, “but I think it’s safe to say you have a Wii U coming out and there will be another new console coming and we expect that they’ll be very successful.”
So Bobby Kotick is implying that the either the PS4 or Xbox 720 won’t release next year. If I had to bet it would be the PS4 is releasing next year. Just because of the rumored leak, and we’ve heard more information on the PS4 over the Xbox 720.
Kotick also goes on to say,
“We always evaluate all platforms with an eye towards being able to create the most compelling differentiated content,” he added.
“And whether it’s Facebook as a platform or tablets or mobile devices platforms, once we think that we can put our best creative foot forward and we can deliver something that’s compelling and engaging and meaningfully different and really capitalize on the capabilities of a new platform, we’ll support it.”
What do you guys think? PS4 first or Xbox 720? Put them in the comments below.
