Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag’s campaign will feature a heavy dose of naval battles. An internal Q&A session at Ubisoft outed that around 40% of the game will feature naval missions. 

PC Gamer had the details on the story first, saying “Mission wise, land missions will represent approximately 60% of the game and naval ones 40%. But if you take the global experience that players will leave with ACIVBF we’re more talking about 50-50.”

There will be side quests that take place at sea, as well as underwater treasure missions. Players will also be able to hunt whales, which pissed PETA off.

So it looks like Assassin’s Creed is going to be a high sees game. Almost like Windwaker, or something like that. Like all Assassin’s Creed games though, I’m going to just rent it.
