Borderlands 2 Gear Up Event has been Extended due to Xbox 360 Patch Issue

Borderlands 2′s Special ‘Gear Up’ weekend event, has been extended while Gearbox sorts out some technical difficulties.

Gearbox issued the update to Borderlands 2 yesterday, for today’s DLC release of Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt. However, Xbox 360 users have been experiencing download errors by downloading the mandatory compatibility patch. Players could not get online during the back end of the weekend’s Gear Up event.

Gearbox has announced the extension so they can resolve the issue and give those players time to hop on. The Gear Up event will give players rare loot when playing Borderlands 2 at certain hours.
