Call of Duty Black Ops 2 sold over 1 million units during the midnight launch at Gamestop alone says Tony Bartel, President of Gamestop.

Tony Bartel told this information to Bloomberg by email. The early reports from some analysts is Call of Duty Black Ops 2 sold around 6.5 to 7.2 million units in day one sales.

This number matches or exceds Modern Warfare 3′s day one 6.5 million units sold last year. Infinity Ward generated $775 million in revenue in the first five days and over $ 1 billion in the first 16 days making more money that I will ever see in my lifetime.
