Retro Gaming – Sega Saturn ‘X-men vs Street Fighter’ & ‘NiGHTS’
Although the Sega Saturn didn’t enjoy a long life, it did have some amazing games on it. I was over at a buddies house today. And we fired up some classic Sega Saturn games. Needless to say, I had more fun in that hour and half than I’ve had with the PS3 and Xbox 360 in years.
EA’s “Unprecedented Partnership” with Nintendo and Other Fairy Tales
Ricard Julianti’s third opinion piece looks at the fable that is EA, and how the company is full of lies, deceit, and BS.
EA is a Complete joke of a Company
As most of you guys might have heard by now, EA has stated Madden 25 will not be hitting the Wii U this year. Which, I have no problem with. EA and Nintendo have a strained business relationship over the whole Origin on Wii U thing. But it’s what they said next that pissed me off.

Xenoblade 2 is on track to be one of the greatest RPG’s every created, and it could end up being the Wii U’s Final Fantasy VII.

Is Online Multiplayer Ruining the Single-Player Portion of Games?
By Furious Francis
Action-adventure games have always had a special place in my heart. Before I knew Super Mario Bros 3 was a platformer, I considered it an action-adventure game. You were jumping on enemies heads, traveling to distant lands, and wearing different suits to unleash new powers. It had all the make up of a current action game. My brother and I would take turns playing as Mario and Luigi in the game’s “sudo” co-op mode. Playing Mario Bros 3 on my NES, was a fun event in our household. The interactions between my brother and I, in person, were enough for us back then. So what has changed so much from early 90′s? Why are classic single-player franchise’s getting force-fed online multiplayer?
Crysis 3 is a Classic Example of Graphics over Gameplay
Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli, has claimed that Crysis 3 is a “masterpiece“ and the reason it’s not doing that well at retail or critically, is because of gamer fatigue of the current generation consoles. While the PS3 and Xbox 360 have been out for a long time, that is no excuse for Crysis 3 to be a generic power-suit shooter, that does little, if any, to push the first person shooter genre forward. This game is the epitome of graphics over gameplay.
The Wii U will miss out on the Witcher 3, But Nintendo fans can look Forward to These RPGs Instead
By Furious Francis
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was recently announced for the PS4 and “other high-end consoles”, and it looks fantastic. The term “other high-end consoles” probably doesn’t consist of the Wii U, unfortunately. While this might seem like a downer for many Wii U owners, the system actually has a nice pipeline of RPGs coming out for it in the next year or two. Check out my Top five upcoming Wii U RPGs.
Nintendo Doomed? Hardly, Addressing the Wii U’s Sales, Problems, and Future

By: Furious Francis
The Wii U has had a rocky start to say the least. The latest NPD numbers were released and the Wii U is not selling well. The Wii U only managed to sell 57K in the month of January. I actually see this as a positive,Nintendo didn’t have any notable software in January and 57,000 people decided to get one for $300 and up. Nintendo has their work cut out for them, but by no means is Nintendo doomed. I will address the Wii U’s issues entirely in the article below.
Nintendo Needs to Announce a Wii U Achievement System Integrated with MiiVerse ASAP
The Wii U is an amazing system. I have had a blast cutting through Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge, collecting Star Coins in New Super Mario Bros U, and experiencing survival horror at its roots in ZombiU. However, there is one thing missing that I really want to see on Wii U. A unified achievement system that integrates MiiVerse would really spark my interest to collect and explore the games I play more. Here are a few reasons why Nintendo should integrate achievements in the Wii U OS.
Sony is Gift-Wrapping Japan to Nintendo

The 3DS recently passed the PS3′s Lifetime-date-sales in Japan. Games like Animal Crossing New Leaf, Fantasy Life, New Super Mario Bros 2, Monster Hunter, and Paper Mario dominate the Japanese game charts with little to no resistance from Sony. Why isn’t Sony doing something about the situation in Japan?
Ubisoft has sent Rayman Legends to die

Ubisoft has delayed Rayman Legends on the Wii U to September, in order to have a simultaneous release on the Xbox 360 and PS3. This is a horrible business decision that will cost Ubisoft in the long run.
PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale Should have been a Shameless Smash Bros Clone
PlayStation All Stars Battle Royal developer Superbot Entertainment is going through a bit of a rough patch. They were hit with some serious layoffs last week, plus Sony has cut ties with the company for sure. I hate it when people lose their jobs but Sony has some of the most dedicated and loyal fans out there. Why did this game under perform? There are many theories I have to why PlayStation All Stars didn’t do well. I managed to narrow it down to three reasons for the sake of keeping this article short and sweet.
