DICE Flip-flops: now says Battlefield 4 Engine isn’t supported on Wii U

DICE…..you guys are horrible liars. I mean really, you got one guy saying it’s too risky to put on Wii U. Now this guy is saying the Frostbite 3 Engine isn’t supported on Wii U. Make up your minds! Anyway, you can hear the BS below.

Patrick Bach, the executive producer on Battlefield 4 told Eurogamer that Battlefield 4 won’t be coming to the Wii U because the Frostbite Engine isn’t supported on Wii U.

“The biggest problem we have right now is we don’t want to back down from what we see as our low spec machines. We right now don’t have support for the Wii U in the Frostbite engine. The reason for that is it takes development time. What should we focus on to create the best possible Battlefield experience? We are now focused on PC and the current-gen platforms, and then there might be other platforms in the future that we can’t talk about…”

This is BS, what he meant to say was ” We don’t want to waste out time with the Wii U because we don’t want to go up against Mario and Zelda this fall. We think third party games don’t sell on Nintendo consoles so yeah….screw the Wii U and it’s fans”

Facepalm to EA and DICE. You guys suck, and are horrible liars. I hope EA and DICE go the way of THQ some day.

They can't tell me that it's possible to make the game on PS3/360 but not Wii U. Or is what they are saying is Wii U is too powerful and they don't want to upgrade their stuff? Either way you can bet your ass they will be supporting PS4/720 (or whatever it's called), which completely contradicts what they are saying now.

I really do believe all this is over Origin. EA was all about Wii U when it was first revealed and said that they were working with Nintendo on their online service. Later we found out that EA wanted Origin to be Nintendos online store and Nintendo refused. Ever since EA has been completely against Wii U. Coincidence? I think not. You can count on them fully supporting anything Microsoft or Sony puts out, but theres no way in hell Sony or Microsoft would allow them to take over their online service. It would be bad for the console maker, game companies that aren't EA, and probably consumers as well. But you won't see EA holding a grudge against them for it. EA must be pretty arrogant to think they can push Nintendo around, or maybe they have bought in to all the doom and gloom talk surrounding Nintendo and think they need them to survive.

Personally to me it doesn't matter, I wouldn't buy the game anyway. I don't like FPS's, so I don't buy them. I don't give a crap about EA anyway, I own about 600 games from Atari 2600 to today, and literally one of them is made by EA (that's SSX On Tour for Gamecube.) I don't generally play sports games either, and I don't even think they make the best ones, it's just that they hold all the licenses. But, I know other people do like their games, so it would be nice if they would support the system.

Couldn't agree more, EA is being really stubborn here. There trying to stick it to Nintendo over Origin. DICE as well. We have like 5 different reasons why Battlefield isn't coming to the Wii U. It's crazy, their flip flopping around. Just admit you guys don't like Nintendo! Just admit it.

  2. Chuck says:

You guys sounds like butt-hurt little children. The Wii U is just not very attractive to developers.

    • Furious Francis says:

Not really, EA should just come out and say they dont like Nintendo. Or just admit they had a falling out over Origin. We just want the truth. Why are they making so many excuses?

    *facepalm*

I have an idea for your next poll on the site.
    "Does EA suck?"
    option 1 – "Yes!"
    option 2 – "HECK YES!"

Oh Ea, U know we don't trust a word that comes out your F*cking mouth anymore, don't you? ^^
