Early ZombiU Reviews Disappointed Producer but Realized they were in the Minority

Guillaume Brunier, ZombiU’s producer at Ubisoft was disappointed with the early reviews of ZombiU, but realized that many people and reviewers actually like the game.

In a interview with Nintendo Life, Brunier admits the team was fustraited with early reviews of the game saying,  “We were really disappointed with the early US reviews. We are aware of the strengths and weaknesses of the experience we created but we did not expect so harsh a feedback. However as more and more journalists and gamers played the game, these opinions proved to be a minority. So right now we’re rather pleased with the overall reception of the game.”

When asked about the negative reviews of the game due to the game being a survival horror experience over a first person shooter, Braunier replied that the team never disguised or hid what type of game it was.

‘The game features permanent death and calls for intense zombie-slaying action over carefully planned survival, which obviously didn’t please some but enticed others’.

I love ZombiU, it is a great game and more people need to give it a chance. Its not Call of Duty, so don’t expect it. What do you guys think of the media’s reviews of ZombiU? Put them in the link below.
