Ex – Mafia Developers show off their next generation RPG Engine, game due 2014/2015

The former Mafia developer Daniel Vavra has been hard at work on a new next generation game engine for his unannounced Medieval RPG. The game is currently in development at his new company Workhorse Studios. Check out the engine below. Its pretty but like I said, the graphical enhancement from generation to generation are getting smaller.

Eurogamer reports – via Eurogamer.cz – that the above footage was made using a modified version of CryEngine 3, and that Vavra has been studying Medieval festivals to help in his research for the title.

Looks great but HD was a benchmark, the supposed next generation looks good, but not the leap we saw from PS2 to PS3. What do you guys think? Please put your comments below.
