Final Fantasy Versus XIII has had a rough development schedule to say the least, and now there is a fresh rumor going around that the game will be dropping its ‘Versus XIII’ moniker, while going next generation. 

This is a rumor, so don’t take it as true, however I did kind of put this very topic out there in a article I wrote about Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The rumor comes from a good ole’ NeoGAF member Verndus, who likes to discuss what he hears about next generation on the popular site.

The rumor says Final Fantasy Versus XIII will get a new name and reveal later this year, and is in development for the PS4.

Final Fantasy 15 and 16 are also in development for next generation systems, but that is no surprise given how long it takes Square Enix to make Final Fantasy games.
