Gamers Claim Used Wii U buyers can Re-Download past Purchases

Gamers are claiming that used Wii U owners can re-download past purchases of the previous owner free-of-charge.

This claim comes from gamers over at NeoGAF (where else). Where one gamer claims to have bought a used Wii U and was able to download Trine 2 and Nano Assault for free. Its not known if this works for full priced titles like ZombiU or Assassin’s Creed 3, but it leads to believe that games are tied to the console and not the Nintendo ID users.

This would cause a spike in used Wii U sales. What do you guys think? Should Nintendo fix this ASAP or what?

One Response to Gamers Claim Used Wii U buyers can Re-Download past Purchases

No it seems perfect sense, at least when purchasing a £50 download it does not go to waste it stays tied with the console, so if you do ever decide you claw some money back
