IGN will be sold to Ziff Davis’ Parent Company

News Corp. will be selling IGN to Ziff Davis. 

News Corp bought IGN for $650 million in 2005, however, the number then will be selling it for will be much lower. J2 Global purchased Ziff Davis last year for $167 million, that deal included some popular sites like PCMag.com and Geek.com

Last year, News Corp puchased Hearst’s UGO properties, which included 1UP, which Ziff Davis sold to UGO back in 2009. 1UP is back with Ziff Davis.

News Corp and Hearst’s deal united all these sites under the same company: IGN.com, GameStop.com, AskMen, Direct2Drive, TeamXbox, FilePlanet, GameSpy, and many more.
