Jak and Daxter Collection Coming to the Vita in June

Jak and Daxter may have not gotten a new game in the PS3 era, but that doesn’t mean you can’t relive their past adventures on the PlayStation Vita. Sony has announced the Jak and Daxter collection will be coming to the PlayStation Vita this June.

The remastered HD versions will contain more trophies than the PS3 version that came out last year, and will run you $29.99. Check out the new trailer below.

Well first of all Vita isn't a console lol, second I think the reason why Sony banked on indie developers is because of the nature of an indie developed game: short, simple addiction and focus's mainly on gameplay since most indie games aren't exactly graphical power houses but more on just pure gameplay. Full blown adventures are normally something you see on console. However I will admit grinding in an RPG when you're waiting for a doctors appointment or in a long car or train ride is rather nice than just grinding in your own free time, when you can instead do other more interesting things than just tedious grinds.

Despite that reason for RPG's on handheld, indie type of games are the best choice on handhelds than on a console. Since indies are heavily focused on unique addicting gameplay styles, the Vita is the perfect candidate with both the rear and front touch pads. I find myself only playing DJ Max Tecnika on Vita than my other games because of its gameplay, fun focused nature using both rear and front very well. The game isn't a graphical power house but it doesn't have to be and I think indies will take advantage of rear and touch with unique styles of play…all this potential talk is all fine and dandy but I want to see action sometime in the near future though lol.

I heard that a lot of indie developers are gonna release a ton of games on vita and that sony is banking on them to make exclusive games.

Yeah, you're right. Indie's are going to be making a ton of games for the Vita. However, Indie games can't make a console. Sony needs to support the Vita with RPG's. There only hope is selling in Japan. Shooters like Uncharted and KIllzone Mercenary are not going to move PS Vita's. They need more shit like Fantasy Star Online, Soul Sacrifice, ect

They need to just focus on releasing original IP's to the vita and not just PS3 ports. Vita sales are worst than PSP sales in comparison when the PSP was out as long as the Vita is.

Sony has given up on the Vita, they don't have the money to make original Vita and PS4 games.

      • Intel

I think it’s a bit early to say that. Once the PS4 comes then I’ll see if they truly given up on it. It seems like a waste of resources to come out with a handheld and not give it games or try to get developers to make some on the system.

True, it is a bit early, but it seems like they have given up on the system.
