Kratos had Blue Warpaint days before God of War’s Release

Twisted Metal and God of War creator David Jaffe has stated on his personal blog that Kratos originally had Blue Warpaint instead of red.

Jaffe showed off some concept art and earlier design, and said that the blue warpaint was “literally days” before God of War’s 2005 release.

The design shows Kratos with a pony tail and blue warpaint. The marking and look of Kratos was really similar to Diablo 2′s barbarian. Nobody noticed until somebody pointed it out to them. Jaffe went on to say this about the change.

“You can bet we changed it, lickity fuckin’ split,” he said.

Check out the concept art below.

This is pretty cool. But yeah, Kratos is way to similar the Diablo 2 character.
