  1. Rpx says:

Look like Kirby will surpass Zelda:LBW by next weeks if the current sale pace continues. The new DBZ game seems to have either a low shipment number or a soft opening week. Pokemon X/Y seem to be down in sales, might be temporary decline.

Ultimately, this seems to be a down week.

  2. nooblet68 says:

Really poor week for sales. At least the Wii U shouldn't have a drought this year, though.

  4. Tuxity says:

Pretty weak week when even the nr1 game only sold 180k

  5. Matthew Wesley says:

January was a tough month for everyone.

  6. ChocoSniggers says:

    Wii U sadly tanking again.

    • DePapier says:

It's called January, and it's the only console that didn't have any new releases this month.

      • mdx says:

        still tanking though.
Sales should be higher based on the expectation of future titles, and sustained because of the popularity of older titles. I do think sales can improve, but Nintendo being so tight lipped on when and what titles are coming out, is keeping the hype for the machine to a minimum. The only game that is providing updates is Smash. They can do the same with X, or a couple of more titles to keep interest alive.

        • DePapier says:

You said it yourself, there's no hype being built, there hasn't been any Direct this month and there hasn't been confirmed released dates of first-party titles save from Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. Therefore why should it be higher? Are you Nintendo? Don't you think that kind of falls into the lines of the slashed forecast?

What you're seeing here is the Wii U at its rawest: deal with it. That's what Nintendo's doing.

        • MechaMew2 says:

Pikmin 3 would like a word with you. Wii U sales didn't spike until AFTER the game was released.
