Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate’s Multiplayer is Region-Locked

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate’s servers will be region locked when the game releases in March. European, Japanese, and US players can only play in their region.

Series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto stated this information in a interview with GameReactor. Capcom Unity later confirmed this. Capcom USA’s Yuri L. Araujo said he was “not thrilled” with the news, and would pass feedback to the team responsible. Howver, don’t expect anything to change on that front.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is launching on the 3DS and Wii U in March. It supports cross play between the two games, but the 3DS version does not have online multiplayer.
