NPD – Xbox 360 Sells 1.4M Units Topping all Console Sales
The NPD has crowed the Xbox 360 as the top console sold in the month of December. The Xbox 360 has now sold the most units each month in the US for the past two years.
Microsoft sold 1.4 million Xbox 360′s in December, making it the best selling console in the month. The Xbox 360 has now sold the most consoles in the US for the past 24 month. Sales of the Xbox 360, games, and accessories reached a high of $1.27 billion in December alone.
The Xbox 360 also had seven of the top ten best selling games during the holidays season with, Halo 4, Assassin’s Creed, Just Dance 4, NBA 2K13, Far Cry 3, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, and Madden 13 all being available on the system.
“We expect 2013 will be another big year for Xbox 360 and we’re eager to continue to expand and grow the offerings available on the platform,” Microsoft said.
