Onimusha & Dino Crisis Sequels not Likely says Capcom

Capcom has stated that the classic franchises of Onimusha and Dino Crisis will probably never see sequels, because Capcom is focused on creating new IPs.

Capcom said it’s more important to look toward new IPs rather than resurrecting older franchises. Resident Evil Revelations producer Masachika Kawata, who worked on both franchises, had this this to say about Dino Crisis and Onimusha.

“Capcom has obviously never shied away from bringing back our older IPs to new generations, but I do think it’s more important for us to focus on creating new IP as we move forward.”

I was never into either one of these franchises, I dabbled with Onimusha a little bit, but it never sucked me in. However, I think there is potential for a PSN or Xbox Live release at some point in the future for these games.
