Weavile my favorite pokemon looks fun as hell. Definitely going to main it.

NoA needs a kick in the head. As you said, everyone should have the chance to play it and see if they like it. A game doesn’t need to be perfect for it to be a hit.
Think of all the slow down and clipping and all that in a game like OoT. Imagine if they didn’t bring that because it wasn’t ‘high enough quality’.

    • CapableTie

NoA is the worst branch of Nintendo, I agree.

Hmmm. I don’t disagree. The reality is the more games you have and genres represented, the better off a console will be. It’s not rocket science. My tastes not withstanding of course (not a fan of rpgs or 1st person shooters, which explains why my only current gen console is a Wii U!)

Any RPG that isn’t: tales of, final fantasy, or persona are niche. They wouldn’t have helped the Wii U.

      And Dragon Quest.

Yes, that too. Although DQ DOES tend to go to the system with the largest user base as far as Japan is concerned. In order to get DQ, NX will have to both be a runaway hit AND capture the largest audience possible, and Nintendo can’t rely on its first party franchises alone to do that. It hasn’t worked in favor of WiiU OR 3DS. In fact, the reason why 3DS is doing well in Japan at all is BECAUSE of the third party support it gets there. Nintendo needs to have their next system have that kind of appeal. Francis and I will be talking about this on a podcast this weekend.

    • Jon Turner

Well that’s why Ninetndo should try to get them on their next system. And before anyone says that it is impossible for Nintendo to do so, I don’t care. They will HAVE to shell out for them for NX. It’s the only way Nintendo can get respect in that market and steal some away from Sony.

I also do think it is very odd and eccentric that NoA is seemingly not planning on releasing Devil’s Third is baffling and disappointing, but if there IS a publisher that is going to bring the game instead, at least we’ll get it. But Nintendo really can’t afford to pull these kind of stunts again. It’s gotten to the point where it’s difficult to defend their every move.

“Any RPG that isn’t: tales of, final fantasy, or persona are niche. They wouldn’t have helped the Wii U.”
That argument is false and invalid. Yo-kai Watch is bigger than Persona, Final Fantasy and Tales. And you have NO clue what a real console Pokémon, Bravely Default, Shin Megami Tensei, Kingdom Heartsor real Dragon Quest game would have done for Wii U.
Funny how RPGs help the 3DS sell.

      • Jon Turner

That should be something we discuss on the podcast this weekend.

      • Mythosa

LOL. I guess Pokemon aren’t real RPG’s and they don’t help any systems sell at all. It’s not the biggest RPG franchise of all time at all either lol. It’s so niche!

Have you been to the Nintendo World store? I’m going to New York on Sunday for a few days, and I’m looking forward to going there.

It’s smaller than I though it would be, Although I will say the Second floor has a few interesting things. You’ll see what I mean lol. Ooo and be ready to see a lot of kids.
