Peter Moore is set to Replace Riccitiello as EA’s CEO

EA’s Peter Moore, best known for leading the EA Sports brand and lifting up fake tattoos of Halo release dates, is the leading candidate to replace John Riccitiello.

Peter Moore is the obvious decision to replace Riccitiello. Many people across the internet have pinpointed Moore as the successor to Riccitiello. If Moore does replace Riccitiello, it will be interesting to see how he does business with Nintendo. EA and Nintendo had a very public breaking up, after Nintendo’s E3 2011 press conference, where Riccitiello came out on stage and pledged support for the Wii U.

I think that public falling out hurt EA’s image to a lot of Nintendo fans who own multiple consoles. When Nintendo decided not to use Origin as their main store front, it was Riccitiello’s decision to pull all meaningful support for the system. Moore needs to learn from his predecessors mistakes. Many Nintendo fans have multiple consoles. I have spoken to hundreds of Nintendo fans who refuse to buy EA games on any console because of EA’s greedy ploy to get Nintendo to use Origin as their main store front.

I’m hoping Peter Moore is up to the task, because gamer’s don’t want to hate EA, EA just makes it very easy to do so with their policies.

What EA needs is a CEO who will not be afraid to walk into a share holders meeting and tell them what needs to be done. I just dont think Mr.Moore is that kind of guy but I could be wrong.

Peter Moore will be a huge improvement from a PR perspective, he is great at kissing babies, saying the right thing and that he will be successful at.

Michael Pachter had this to say about the recent announcement .
“We are fans of Mr. Riccitiello, whose many accomplishments outweigh his many errors during his tenure.

Add to the fact Origin has been hacked putting 10 million users at risk of a virus or worse.

Not so sure about Peter Moore. Bernie Stolar who was responsible for getting Visual Concepts and the 2K series started on the Dreamcast. Not really sure exactly what Peter Moore has done except over seeing the EA sports division which has been rehashing Madden,Fifa, while not even competing in the NBA or NCAA basketball area. If you ask me on paper Peter Moore is not the answer for anything.

Peter Moore seems like a good pick for EA (At least, I don't think he holds any grudge against Nintendo, which is good).
To hell with Riccitiello who purposely pulled support from Nintendo just because they didn't let EA do whatever they Freaking wanted to! as well as their god awful DRM….
Man, I hope that not too many of EA's Higher-ups shared the same views as Riccitiello, otherwise nothing would change.
Come on Moore, Turn this company around and make it like the good'ol days before EA became so Greedy & Corrupted. ;P
