Resident Evil Revelations was Successful “Going by the 3DS Market at the time,” says Kawata

Resident Evil Revelations producer Masachika Kawata has stated the game was a success “going by the 3DS market at the time,” however, Capcom wanted the game to sell more copies.

“Given the large development costs we had on the 3DS version, we would have liked to have even a little more sales than we did in the end,” he told Eurogamer. “But that doesn’t mean we saw it as a failure by any means.”

The game was still a “success” and Capcom is looking to repeat that with console version.

Resident Evil Revelations is coming to the PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360, and PC on May 21st in the US and May 24th in Europe.
