Holy smokes if this is true! Grand Theft Auto 5 has only been announced for the Xbox 360 and PS3, however, a new rumor has sprouted online that says otherwise.
An inside source has stated that May 16th might be the day we get a release date for GTA V hitting the next generation systems. That is the same date Take-Two is having their investors meeting. In that meeting, it’s rumored Take-Two will announce Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to the PC, PS4, Xbox 720, and Wii U.
“While the GTA V release date is scheduled for the 17th September gamers can expect the next-gen versions to arrive later this year, although we are unsure how long after the new consoles launch.
“Considering the gap between instalments Grand Theft Auto games are very popular and GTA 5 on next-gen consoles will be an ideal way to branch out in sales with a multi-platform title that could attract many gamers to the new systems.”
Here are some details on what they could do with the Wii U version of the game.
“On the smaller screen you could navigate tabs that would display the map, allow you to equip weapons and items, view statistics, look at character profiles and mission objectives, etc all without pausing the game,”
Nintendo has never had a main GTA game hit one of it’s home consoles, so this big news, if true. Having a PS4 and Xbox 720 version of the game would be a welcomed edition as well.
