Skullgirls DLC and Xbox 360 Patch Restricted, PC port and Sequel Likely

Skullgirls, the 2D hardcore fighting game for PSN and Xbox Live, is getting a new patch on the PlayStation Network in November. However, the Xbox 360 version of the patch has been delayed because its about 150 times to large for release.
XBLAFans has the rundown on new features for the game, and the troubles the Skullgirls team is facing at the moment. The entitled Slightly Different patch for the PS3 is about 590 MB in size. The Xbox Live Arcade patch limit size is 4 MB……
Lab Zero CEO Peter Bartholow said the team is working on reducing the size of the patch and are in negotiations with Microsoft to get the issue resolved. Bartholow is hopeful the patch will release.
The PC version is in the works as well, as Lab Zero is focusing on getting that version out to fans. Baartholow also discussed the shelved DLC characters and what we might see in the future.
“We all really want to make DLC characters, but it’s expensive and time-consuming. The first mysterious character was about one third complete when we were laid off. But between the attach rate for DLC and the loss of momentum caused by the drama, recouping the development costs or profiting seem difficult.”
The game is doing well though, as publisher Autumn Games has greenlit the sequel.
