Skype might replace Xbox Live Voice chat with the next Xbox

There is a new rumor going around that Skype might replace the Xbox Live voice chat system for the next Xbox. Microsoft did buy Skype for a staggering $8.5 billion in 2011. More details below.
According to CVG, Microsoft is converting all of its communications technology into the Skype program. The Messenger service might be on the way out as early as March by some reports. The report states Microsoft will be using Skype on the next Xbox.
“You might jump to the conclusion that we’ll see asynchronous voice and video messages in next-gen Xbox Live,”
Microsoft should be announcing their new console sometime between March with GDC and June at E3 2013.
