Sony Sells US Headquarters for $1.1 Billion to Cover Debts

Sony has sold their US headquarters for $1.1 billion according to a report on Bloomberg.

Real Estate agent Cherit Group has purchased the massive New York building that stands 37-stories high. Sony is expecting to generate $770 million in net revenue after covering some debts they own. Sony posting a staggering loss of £3.6 billion last year.

Given the opportunities and challenges in the current economic and real estate landscape, selling 550 Madison now is a timely and logical strategic move,” commented Sony corp. of America president, Nicole Seligman.

“Regarding our new headquarters, we continue to look at a number of spaces in Manhattan but have not yet made a decision about where to lease.”’

But Microsoft and Sony are “destroying” Nintendo right Patcher? I don’t see how a company that posts that huge of a loss, and is selling their freaking US headquarters is destroying anybody.
