Soul Sacrifice gets First Review, plus Gameplay Details
Soul Sacrifice seems to be a hit. Famitsu has reviewed the game and they like it. More information below.
Over on NeoGAF, a forum poster translated the information from the review.
Soul Sacrifice received a 37/40 from the magazine. Scoring a 10,9,9 and 9. The game will take around 25 hours to complete in the single player. Multiplayer adds hours and hours to that total though. Players will also be receiving free and paid DLC on day one and in the next few months.
Multiplayer is also impressive, requiring teamwork and a nice mix of skill to overcome the game’s battles. There are over 300 spells to learn with an advanced crafting system. The combinations of skill load-outs, spells, and items make the possibilities immense.
Soul Sacrifice has a dying mechanic that allow you to continue playing after you die. Your items are carried over as you fight in an undead state. These mechanic play a huge part of the battle system and story.
The game is fairly difficult so expect to die quite often. Playing with friends should help ease the difficulty of the game but it’s still fun.
Soul Sacrifice games out in April for Japan but were waiting on a Western release.
