Various job listings for developer Spark Unlimited indicate the anime-inspired Ninja Gaiden spinoff Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z will be a third-person combat game on next generation consoles.
A senior designer listing details “tuning for a third-person action shooter on next generation consoles” in the job description. Spark is also hiring for a multiplayer engineer and AI engineer to develop network code for “multiplayer/co-op functionality.”
An effects artist job and engineer position further corroborate that Yaiba will be a next-generation console title, although neither of these listings indicate it’s a shooter.
60 Frames Per a Second. Oh How I love you.
You ever get the feeling while playing a game that everything just clicks. The animations are smooth, fast, and the controls feel fluid. The feeling the game is moving at a smooth pace and never dips, everything just gels. That is the feeling of 60 frames per a second boys and girls. Devil May Cry 3, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, Smash Bros, Mortal Kombat, Zelda, Mario, Metroid, all of these games have that gel/gameplay smoothness that is 60 frames per a second.
