Nintendo really knocked it out of the park this year with their E3 2014 plans. Between the excellent Robot Chicken skits, Iwata and Reggie brawl, Super Smash Bros tournament, Amiibo unveiling, and non-stop live streaming, Nintendo brought an amazing format to E3 this year. It seems like Forbes writer Erik Kain agrees. He has penned a fantastic article discussing why Nintendo’s E3 strategy is the way of the future.
DePapier from the Playeressence community has written another article discussing Nintendo’s possible discount and dedicated user program Iwata mentioned during the investor meeting in January.
After the whole Watch Dogs debacle from Kotaku. Stephen Totilo, editor in chief of Kotaku said “Anonymous sources are, I believe, an essential part of reporting.” As an editor myself, I feel this is completely BS, as what Mr. Totilo forgot to mention to his loyal readers is ‘anonymous sources’ are a way for Kotaku to gain more revenue by beating other news outlets to the punch. Fate of the game has written a nice article discussing the practice of journalism, and how Kotaku is breaking many rules for their own selfish gain. Super Mario 3D World’s opening week sales were absolutely destroyed by the media. Unfair comparisons, proclamations of being outsold with missing information, and just flat-out sensational titled articles, infested the internet for weeks regarding Super Mario 3D World’s sales. But as the dust settled, and the Wii U sold more units, Super Mario 3D World is proving to be an “evergreen” title. While Lighting Returns and Knack sales have fallen off a cliff.

The days of Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, and Jak & Daxter filling PlayStation consoles worldwide are long gone, and may never come back. The Wii U’s graphical capabilities have been partially revealed online, and while it’s an upgrade from the current generation of graphics, the PS4 and Xbox 720 will be capable of much more graphically. This is something that has been known for a while now, just not proven. I didn’t expect Nintendo to come out with an ultra powerful or expensive machine. It’s around the same cost of a PS Vita with a Memory Card.
A large majority of Nintendo fans just wanted better online, HD graphics, and great games. Which Nintendo is already delivering on. Some skeptics have written off the Wii U and said it won’t have the power to compete with the Xbox 720 and PS4. What gamers need to understand is the Xbox 720 and PS4 need the extra power for the type of games their audiences play. The Wii U does not need to be super powerful system for the type of games it will be hosting.
Creating the Perfect Naruto game
By owner/editor-in-chief Furious Francis
I am a huge Naruto fan. I’ve been watching the show since 2007 and love every bit of it. Unfortunately the Naruto video games do not touch the level of quality the anime displays. Sure, if you’re a Naruto fan, playing Ultimate Ninja 2 is going to be fun, but the games lack the depth and strategy other fighting games have
Trailer Afterthoughts: Star Wars 1313
No Jedi’s in a Star Wars game is a nice change of pace from the terrible Force Unleashed games. The shooting combat style and some of the gameplay seen in the E3 demo makes it look like Mass Effect, but just set in the Star Wars plot. This game is said to take place in the middle of the first trilogy of the Star Wars movies and the second trilogy. This is a third person action-adventure game and looks awesome having a mature theme. The Developers describe 1313 as mature dark atmosphere and gritty style without being extremely bloody.
