Want Baten Kaitos on Wii U or Nintendo NX? Let Bandai Namco Know

Baiten Katos

In an Siliconera interview with Kensuke Tsukanaka, the director of Project X Zone 2, he hinted at the possibility of Baten Kaitos coming back if fans ask for it.

“Are fans ever going to see Baten Kaitos again, inside or outside of Project X Zone?” I asked Tsukanaka. He laughed, and responded:

“So, do you remember that KOS-MOS and T-elos, from Xenosaga, were in the first Project X Zone game? We didn’t include them just because Monolith Soft was developing Project X Zone, we put them in there because there were so many fans of their games on the team, and that they happened to make sense for the world of the game.

“The reason there’s not Baten Kaitos characters in the story is because they just didn’t seem to fit in anywhere. As for [Baten Kaitos] itself outside of Project X Zone, well, I can’t really say much about that yet, but I think we need some substantial feedback from fans before moving forward with a project like that. What do they want to see from it? What platform do they want to see it on? If we can gather more voices for Baten Kaitos, then maybe we can start something with Bandai Namco Entertainment. That’s about all I can say right now!”

Monolith Soft, along with tri-Crescendo, produced the Baten Kaitos games on GameCube. If there is another one in the franchise, chances are it comes to a Nintendo Platform exclusively.

I actually just got this game a couple months ago, I still need to play it.

That would be awesome if we could see another Baten Kaitos on Nintendo systems, although I’m confused as to who owns it; wouldn’t Monolith Soft be in charge since they technically worked on the two games?

Then again, considering that Namco and Nintendo seem to be getting along well these days, it doesn’t seem implausible.

**Hopes certain users don’t try to discourage me from thinking that with “facts” about how we should stop supporting Namco, period.**

Well, there’s Baten Kaitos music in Smash Bros., so that’s something.

        Link please?

The only way to ever gather enough voices to truly make an impact is to get this article seen on major websites. And even then, maybe there just isn’t enough people out there left who still want a new Baten Kaitos… It’s unfortunate but fans of these great games seem to dwindle year after year.

F Zero supporters are nearly nonexistent nowadays. You see a few on Nintendo fansites here and there but that’s about it. The longer time goes on the less people are interested.

But why don’t we try to get this article on a major new site and see what happens.
