    I like to put a famous quote by Neil Gaiman, talking about the author behind Game of Thrones series; “George R.R. Martin is not your bitch”.He was incredibly disgruntled by how fans of the series were treating Martin for the decisions he made. I think the very same applies here and many Nintendo fans need to be reminded that Nintendo is not your bitch. The decisions they make are theirs to make and the shameful behaviour of a selection of fans shouldn’t change the course of a company that has existed long before any of us and will continue to exist long after any of us.

    Maybe one reason is because if you offer a fan a special edition, they might sell the normal one second hand, which does put even more stress on the first hand sales. This could be something they’re actively avoiding.
