PE X Nintendo ep. 71: Nintendo’s Holiday is Looking SMASHING!

    my thoughts on nintendo. what and when is nintendo going to launch in china? is it going to be a new ique player? china and india are the sole reasons we have region locked console's. billions are lost to these markets each year and is increasing year over year. if nintendo was going to go with a new region free console, they would need to make the device in china to avoid legal and tax issues as well as importing costs to help maintain a low cost console. once nintendo announces this their stock is going to go threw the roof. but we have to wait and see what nintendo has going behind the scenes. one thing is for sure. it will have to be similiar to the wii u and 3ds architecture in terms of development or it will suffer from bloated development costs. I think nintendo will launch in China with their next console (fusion).

    Nintendo has a fantastic lineup for the upcoming holiday season but Mario Kart 8 along with the new DLC and Smash Bros is gonna undoubtedly own it. The Wii U is already closing in on 8 million but I honestly think after the holidays it will be at 11 million……12 million at a stretch

    If ONLY they had this lineup last year instead…. Oh well, what am I kidding? I can't go back in an Epoch ala CHRONO TRIGGER and undo that. It IS a good lineup.

          Ick. I didn't enjoy that game at all. None of the charm of CT imo.

            I loved both. CT definitely had the tech system better, and the tolerable party amount… Sheesh. There were like, 30 characters in Cross, most being irrelevant except one or two scenes. Cross… just needs some fixes and I feel its a flawless game, hence the remake request.

    Bayonetta 2 and Smash Wii U together won Nintendo this holiday season for me, not too mention the Mario Kart 8 DLC. Microsoft is doing great as well with Sunset Overdrive, Halo MCC and the price cut. I just wish we were still getting X this year :(

      Indeed. And for me, Captain Toad is also an equally appealing game this season, right up there with Smash, Bayonetta 2 and MK8 DLC.

      And Sunset Overdrive is really fun, in case you were thinking about getting it. I was actually considering canceling my preorder, but I'm so glad I didn't because the game is leagues better than it looks.

            You and the Sonic 'fanbase' have one thing in common.
            You cause us true fans embarrassment. I may not favor Sony or Microsoft as companies, and I may even hold Nintendo on a higher level than them, but I at least can find joy in the competition's games. I like Halo. It was my first taste of the shooter genre. I like(d) Assassin's Creed. AC4 was my favorite non-Nintendo game on WiiU. The first game system i played on was the PS2. I have played on a 360 way before I got a Wii. What I'm saying is this:We are video gamers, not cheerleaders. We can have our favorite company, system, franchise, genre, and CEO, but we are 100% linked to them. I have nothing against PS4 or X1 owners (my brother is getting the X1)
            Like Revolution said, I'm a fan of video games, before I'm a fan of a company.
            Now i got a Mario Kart tournament to attend to in 30 minutes and need to practice.

            i feel the same way as you the only diferences is that for me the Pokemon fan base cause true fans embarrassment and non Nintendo games that i like are sly cooper final fantasy 13 and Ninokuni

            By YOUR definition of fan you could only like hockey but nothing else, not football, baseball, hell even video games and TV are off the table according to you…
