Rumor – Resident Evil 7 Launching this Fall

Analytic research firm Super Data might have accidentally let out Resident Evil 7 is launching this fall. We already know Capcom is working on a new Resident Evil game, but what we didn’t know if the game is launching this year. Super Data says RE 7 and Halo 5 will be coming at the end of 2015.

“We anticipate this month’s downturn to level off during the coming few months, following a regular seasonal pattern but expect to see an upswing as the next editions of several major franchises like Halo and Resident Evil come out in the 2015 fall season.”

Borderlands 2 has Surpassed 12 Million Units sold


GearBox CEO Randy Pitchford has revealed to IGN that Borderlands 2 has surpassed 12 million units sold. This includes the PS3, Xbox 360, PC and PS Vita versions of the game. More details and info can be found on IGN.

Konami is Already Working on a new Metal Gear game


Konami is moving on with the Metal Gear franchise whether Hideo Kojima is working on it or not. The publisher has removed the Kojima brand from all things Metal Gear for the most part, and CONFIRMED they are working on a new game in the classic franchise. Remember, this is a game OUTSIDE of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

Report: Hideo Kojima will Leave Konami After Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain is Released


GameSpot is reporting that Hideo Kojima will be leaving Konami after MGS 5 The Phantom Pain releases. There appears to be a power struggle between Kojima Productions and Konami.  This power struggle has led to Konami removing the Kojima Productions name from their official websites and in MGS 5’s press release. An inside source told GameSpot the following.  

Konami went Through a Restructuring, Kojima Productions Seems to have been Absorbed


While Konami was quick to dash rumors Hideo Kojima was leaving the company. Gaming Bolt has done a little digging into the situation, revealing that Konami went through a restructuring recently. This restructuring might have resulted in Kojima Productions being closed and absorbed into Konami. Konami has also removed the famous “Kojima Game” tag line from their press release and YouTube with MGS 5. Plenty more details can be found on Gaming Bolt. Gears of War: The Macus Fenix Collection Might be a real Thing


Microsoft could be working on a collection of Gears of War games spanning Gears of War 1 -3. There is currently a campaign going on by Gears of War fans to bring the original trilogy to the Xbox One on one disc.
