Microsoft is going through a massive change under new President and CEO Satya Nedella. News broke that Microsoft will be laying-off 18,000 employees. This comes after closing down the Xbox Entertainment Studio. The Xbox EMEA team will also be hit with layoffs as well.

The June NPD results are in, and Watch Dogs is once again the top game sold in the US. Mario Kart 8 came in second, with the Wii U being the only home console with an exclusive in the top 10. Tomodachi Life also charted in at ninth, so there was one more system exclusive in the top 10. Get the full charts past the link.
Microsoft has announced that Xbox Entertainment Studios will be shut down in the next couple months. Around 200 employees will lose their job. This move comes after Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that Xbox is not a ‘core part’ of Microsoft’s business, but insisted that Xbox is important to the company. Do you guys remember Space Pioneer? It was a space sim on Kickstarter that actually had real Astronauts on the development team help make the game. Well, the Kickstarter was unsuccessful, but Tool Games has not given up on the project. They have rebranded the title as “Project Tool”, and have released a brand new trailer. Check out below.
