Phantasy Star Online 2 Announced for PS4

SEGA has announced that PC/PS Vita RPG Phantasy Star Online 2, will be coming to the PS4 in 2016. The title will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show this September. The latest expansion, “Reborn Episode 4,” will be launched in 2016 with the PS4 version. This is just for Japan at the moment, no word on a release for the west. Via: Gematsu

Whenever Sega wants to actually make a bit of $$ they can bring this to the West.

I really really really hope this means there’s gonna be a western release. With the mediocre sales of the PS4 in Japan, it doesn’t really make sense to port it to that system if they’re planning on it being a Japanese-only game. The only reason for a Japanese publisher to put a game on the PS4 is if they’re planning on releasing it worldwide, or if it’s an otaku game which seems to have a following on Sony systems.
