Horizon Zero Dawn will run at 1080p/30fps, Uses Modified Killzone Shadow Fall Engine
The impressive looking new IP Horizon: Zero Dawn will run on a modified Killzone engine, in addition to running at 1080p 30fps on PS4. Guerrilla Games’ art director, Jan-Bart van Beek discussed the matter with VideoGamer.
“It is actually still the same engine but then [there is] an enormous leap from Shadow Fall to this. The Shadow Fall engine isn’t an open-world streaming world engine so for the last two years a lot of technological effort has gone into actually being able to make it work like this.”

Sony has no Plans for Backwards Compatibility on PS4
While Microsoft plans for the Xbox One to be backward compatible with select Xbox 360 games, Sony has stated they have no plans for backward compatibility with PS4. Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida discussed the matter with Polygon:
“I don’t think we will change our approach. The PlayStation 4 doesn’t have backward compatibility.”
Backwards compatibility is hard,” he said. “I won’t say we’ll never do it, but it’s not an easy thing to do. If it’s easy, we would have done that.”

Star Ocean 5 Coming to the West in 2016 on PS4 only
Star Ocean 5 will launch on PS4 and PS3 in Japan this Winter. However, the west will get the game in 2016 on PS4 only. This is similar to what Square Enix has done with Dragon Quest Heroes on PS3 and PS4. The early footage runs at 30fps but Square Enix is shooting for 60fps on PS4.
