Nintendo NX isn’t Android-based, but can Emulate Android Games - Rumor

nintendo-nx1-656x369

Piggybacking off the rumors that Nintendo and Amazon are working on mobile content delivery together, comes this rumor about the Nintendo NX and its ability to emulate Android games.

The base of these rumors are here.

– When Nintendo announced their mobile games, Amazon was very interested in having the games also be on the Amazon App store.
– Nintendo games will be on the Amazon store on day one, or shortly after Play Store and App Store.
– Amazon is asking Nintendo what they need to do to have Amazon App Store games play on Nintendo consoles
– Amazon got the impression that Nintendo is thinking about emulating Android games.
– Nintendo will not create an Android system, but instead will emulate Android games. It’s not something that’s confirmed, but just an interpretation of the conversations.

Okay, now this is just ridiculous…

      Tell me about it.

This is not a surpise for me, cause i know this is what Nintendo gonna do. A new concept Iwata say, so a console where you can play DS, Homeconsole and Phone games, that’s a new concept for me. I told my friends all the time, i think Nintendo is gonna make a console where you can use it for everything.

Didnt Amazon announce that they were entering the console market a few years back?

I wonder if they are going to work with Nintendo instead of going alone. Amazon’s stake is not in games but rather in distribution. If they were able to combine the two infrastructures Nintendo’s user base could very well explode overnight and Amazon benefits from having a very fiercely loyal subset of customers.

Such an arrangement if it is happening this way would put both companies on very very strong footing.

it is a possibility if you put it that way

  • PRIMUS

    This is more plausible.

UGHHH! Again with these repetitive clickbait NX articles:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BNsrK6P9QvI

Then quit visiting the topics. Seriously. If you don’t like it, don’t look at it. Nobody is forcing you to.
It’s not click bait, it’s a hot topic.

Well keep on rumor-mongering and overhyping yourself to hell for a massive let down, and have a nice day. :)

        • Mythosa

Wow, some of you guys and your passive-aggressive behaviour lol.
I would argue and say that “I’m not”, but since you are being so passive aggressive, I’m guessing it will fall on deaf ears (or blind eyes since this is on a forum?).
But I will happily accept your gesture. Thanks! You have a nice day as well.

How is it clickbait? It says NX rumor in the title, and that’s what’s here. It’s your fault for clicking.

Wow haters gonna hate, and trolls we be trolls. Lol.

no dual os needed, just a compatable APP thats it

android games already can be instantly ported to wii u like in seconds or more in depth software a few days

a app would sort things out easy, but im getting that WEIRD NEED FOR TROLLING NINTENDO with nonsense vib again here

    • Mythosa

It could be a troll. Never know till it’s released I guess. Not a big deal either way. Suppose it depends on how seriously you take all this right?

  • Hardin Twentyfive

If this happens, I don’t know… It seems to be a good thing for both companies. Nintendo can make a ton of side money off of this, and so can Amazon.
Oh, and Nintendo is doomed if they do this.

You are starting to rub off on me dude. You make me laugh.
        Edit: Or dudette…

        • getagrip

          DUDE

im all man, hope that tickles your fancy LOL

  • Mythosa

I would not be surprised at this for a second.
If they could encompass a large margin of the android store, create their own API for it that runs it kind of like what Blackberry has done, emulate it, or even have a dual OS it could be huge for Nintendo if it works as a normal console as well.
