Wii U Sells 46,000 Units in July (North America) | Rumor

Unconfirmed sales data for July 2015 NPD put the Wii U at 46,000 units. Nintendo hasn’t confirmed how much they sold so that’s why the story is labeled rumor. The leaked number comes from the usual NPD leaker Creamsugar. Via: GoNintendo, Source: NeoGAF

      I use NeoGAF all the time. People only get upset when it comes to sales numbers.

    Until Nintendo confirms otherwise I’ll believe this, it makes sense for it to do especially bad after this e3.

      Nintendo 2015 Q2 (April-June) Wii U North America shipments: 190,000

      Creamsugar’s Neogaf numbers (US only):
      April: ~43,000
      May: ~42,500
      June: ~70,000
      Total: ~155,500

      Factor in sales from some other NA regions like Canada and Mexico and you get the 190,000 number that Nintendo reportedly shipped.

      Neogaf definitely is not 100% accurate, but Creamsugar’s numbers are not complete garbage. They can be used to gage a platform’s performance.

    The Wii U sold over 80,000 units last July. 2015 July sales represent a decline of over 40% YoY. Yikes!!

      It Sold about 60 000 in Japan in July, Couple that with Europe, the WiiU sold about 120 000 world wide for July. That is good, especially since it is selling at a profit.

        Profit is great, but it won’t amount to much when the platform is only selling ~120,000 units per month worldwide. That is an abysmal number. Thank god Amiibo and the (New ) 3DS exist.

          True, at this point I really want the NX to come out so Nintendo can get a fresh start. These Wii U numbers are painful.

            making a profit is great. The Lost Angeles Clippers were the laughing stock of the NBA during the 90’s. Guess what, they made a profit.

            The goal should be making a profit and dominating your competition like the 3DS does.
