Nintendo 3DS & Wii U Games Coming this Year - Infograph

star-fox-zero-2

Nintendo of America has released an infograph of Wii U and 3DS games coming this year. And for SOME strange reason, Devil’s Third and Fatal Frame 5 are not listed, despite being confirmed for 2015.

Most of these games are Exclusive, so I give them points for that. Plus I know of 2 more that aren’t even on the list, also exclusive.

Also not including Mighty No. 9 and other top tier indies. There’s lots coming.

  • Your Usual Sparkie

Yesterday I’ve been told that the Wii U has lots of games coming from now ’til the end of the year…

    …are you serious, people?

    • abINC4l

6 potentially great games until the end of year is a lot, although this list is strangely missing Devil’s Third and Fatal Frame 5.

    • Titangamecube

….It does. Oh thats right, its games you aren’t going to enjoy. My mistake.

There are eight Wii U games (first-party-wise) coming out during the latter portion of this year. EIGHT. Compared to a grand total of THREE last year.

      Damn straight, we’re serious.

Xenoblade is the only game on the list I’d call a must
      Mario Maker is very interesting
Yoshi’s Woolly world _might_ be good if it’s not as juvenile as kirby’s epic yarn and it didn’t have features locked behind amiibos, irrespective of how irrelevant they are.
Star Fox probably will be delayed until early next year
In fact mark my words on that
The rest of the games aren’t very exciting
3DS ain’t looking so hot this year either.
      Poor showing overall.
I have no strange emotional connection to a company
I can say and read these things without being upset and/or angry
If you think the other games are interesting try imagine if they weren’t coming to the Wii U but were a console you didn’t own, and then whether you would care about them in that case…probably not, because they’re actually not interesting.
Therefore I think you are correct Sparkie. The Wii U has a poor line up for the rest of the year. And I’d say that the 3DS does too. And Nintendo dropped the ball in comparison to last year.

…Are you stupid? There are games. Look at the damn list. Thats not an opinion im spouting, its an objective observation.

I don’t really even know what to say to you. I’m not sure if you actually read what I wrote or simply didn’t understand it. I can literally copy and paste stuff that has already addressed your comment and/or is relevant
          >The rest of the games aren’t very exciting
          >Poor showing overall.

They are games that are not exciting TO YOU. Someone is going to like it, regardless of what you think. I know I don’t care for half the shit Sony or Microsoft has shown (in fact, most of it is not even coming until next year). The rest you just said makes absolutely no sense and just trying to sound objective but is about as opinionated as everyone else is and the guy you are trying to support.

You’re trying to make yourself seem detached but the reality is, that’s not possible. You have no strange emotional connection to a company?

            *singing* LIES! *singing*

Yes you do. We ALL do. Pretending you don’t makes it even worse since you’re ignoring your own bias. Makes your opinions even less viable.

And that’s all anything you said is: Your opinion. Nothing more. Don’t try and act like you’re special and better than everyone else because you’re not.

            Your opinion != fact.

However, saying that there are games, well that’s just an objective fact. There ARE games. There’s a list of them. They exist. You’re opinion of them though has absolutely no barring on that.

What you should have said is that they don’t exist to you because you’re a judgmental douche bag who’s willing to proclaim the fate of any game just by looking at it. Considering the deciding characteristic of what makes a game a game is that you PLAY it, I feel confident in my observation.

Go buy a different platform if you’re unhappy with their offerings.

You know, when I look at what’s coming out on the PS4 and the XBone I think the exact same thing.

“THIS is their line-up for the rest of the year?”

That’s why I don’t own a PS4 or XBone. Why did you even buy a Wii U in the first place if all you’re going to do is complain about it? Oh, I forgot, that’s the gaming hipster thing to do. You buy a platform you know you won’t like and then whine about how you’re unhappy with it even though, knowing their history, there is no possible way you couldn’t know what you were getting yourself into.

This is Nintendo we’re talking about. These are the games they make. These are the games that they have ALWAYS and will continue to make. What rock have you been living under that you don’t understand this?

  • Jon Turner

Odd. I DO hope both get release dates soon.

Well, Fatal Frame 5 was rated ‘D’ by Cero (which is the Japanese equivalent to the ESRB’s ‘M’), and you can bet that Devil’s Third will get an ‘M’ rating as well. Maybe it has something to do with that?

And that’s strange, considering they put Bayonetta 2 on their E3 2014 infograph. Might be because, despite it’s adult-oriented content, they invested a lot of money into it, which would make them really want people to buy it.

Looking at Devil’s Third, it doesn’t seem like Nintendo spent anywhere near as much money on it as they did Bayonetta 2. To them, it may not make much sense pushing an M-rated game that doesn’t resonate with the Nintendo crowd at large. It’ll find its niche, I’m sure. But I don’t think extensive advertising will push enough people over the fence to justify the investment, as bad as that sounds. I’m convinced, at least 😛

Might be the same case for Fatal Frame. I dunno. It’s 3 in the morning. My brain hurts from thinking at this hour.
