They look good to the point where you can tell Nintendo is not working on it directly, but you can also tell that there is room for improvement.

  • awang0718

I picked average. It clearly needs a visual upgrade. HD graphics or nice, but when detailed textures are absent and only 4-5 enemies are on screen at once, I get concerned.

  • CapableTie

This sums up what this e3 has been like for Nintendo lol

    • Prütsa

Yepp pretty much. Nintendo show gameplay and Sony CGI from i high-end PC.

      • CapableTie

What’re you talking about? We saw gameplay for Horizon Zero Dawn and there is no PC version, it had to be PS4 gameplay.

    • GeneralBrown178

To be honest with you, Sony is notorious about lying about what there games look like.

      • CapableTie

Unless it’s Ubisoft, I’m not worried. If they only had showed a CGI trailer though, I wouldn’t be as excited for it. That happened with Recore from Microsoft, I wish they showed gameplay for that.

        • GeneralBrown178

I see what you’re saying, its just when Sony first showed off Order 1886, It looked REALLY good, but on release, it looked nothing like the first trailer.
Plus it doesn’t help that the game is a turd lol.

          • CapableTie

Yea, I didn’t buy that game it was mediocre.
The first trailer was CGI, but the gameplay they showed at e3 2014 looked pretty close to the final product’s gameplay to me.

          • GeneralBrown178

Hmmmm…I guess I just have trust issues when it comes to Sony lol.

  • Liquid-Sunrise

I know the final build will look even better!

  • Frankie4Fingers1983

It looks like star fox, only sharper. The visuals are true to the series. I picked good, because that’s pretty much what I expected. Outside of the first game - limitations - they all have had this look, this is just sharper. I’m sure there will be polish, but people shouldn’t expect it to be a top notch graphical powerhouse.

People that complain about the graphics make me laugh. That say they love Star Fox and want one and this is Star Fox. It looks like Star Fox, so if people really have a problem with the way this game looks, then I’ll go as far to say that they didn’t want Star Fox.

  • Hardin Twentyfive

They’re good, but not great. But I have faith we’ll see another SM3DW in terms of graphics.

    • Mythosa

That would be great. SM3DW was pretty rough around the edges when we first saw that as well.

  • Marc Duarte

They’re good enough to get the job done. With that said, I don’t expect every Nintendo game to be a demonstration of the Wii U’s technical prowess. Just because you have power doesn’t mean you should always use it. Sometimes it’s best to not do so. Every game is unique and requires a different approach when it comes to visuals. What’s more important is finding a balance between graphics and gameplay where neither side is sacrificed for the other. Achieving this feat, in my opinion, is far more impressive than making a game that just impresses on a technical level. Besides, it’s not like you can actually have fun with the graphics if the gameplay ends up being weak, right? Then all you’re left with is a glorified tech demo.

As I’ve said before, I play games to have fun, not count pixels. I don’t care what a game looks like as long as it’s fun.

  • Method

It’s an average from me, but I will wait to see the final build.

  • Kidking17

I feel they’re good enough, I have been waiting for StarFox for a long time. I hope they make this game good, then if its successful enough to get a Sequel then I will be expecting a lot more Graphically.Honestly I just want them to get the Series going again.

  • PRIMUS

It is EAD, In EAD we trust. This game shall be Good to great when it finally releases.

    • Mythosa

EAD with Platinum. Wonder if EAD has something else going on as well.

  • PRIMUS

I really didn’t know the Player Essence camp was not the only internet venue that was undergoing a civil war. It is good we are back to talking terms. I have watched Podcasts this last week that had me gasping for oxygen hahahahahahaha. Phew! hello my fellow posters! How are you this Sabbath? let us game on as responsible consumers, and not sheep.

    • Kidking17

I actually think that kind of thing is good really, take away the the disrespectful comments and it’s cool to see what everyone is thinking.

  • rafael

i voted bad, because “average” is not exactly the word i would use…i think the graphics are good for an e-shop game, but bad for a triple A. An average triple A in this generation looks much better then that. I still think the game will be good.

    I dont really care

  • CapableTie

I hope it gets delayed, I was hoping for MK8 style graphics for this game. Assault and Adventures were some of my favorite GameCube games, so I want them to take all the time they need.

  • http://twitter.com/timsdeece David Tims

It looks pretty on par with this (Assault played in Dolphin)

with the exception that the star fox Wii U game has some HD textures.

Since they’re obviously not using the budget the make a demanding game I hope they’re making a lot of content

It will flop if they charge full price and it has as much content as Splatoon

  • GosuSalt

I’m judging it now…now later when it is released and for now it’s bad in some places. It looks like upscaled Star Fox 3ds. Textures lacking, flat boring shapes on buildings. I know they have to render the image twice but the question is how does it look. Compared to Mario kart, bayonetta, pikmin 3, smash….this looks bad.

  • ei8bit

looks good for me. eventually as always plenty of time to polished on the graphic side. it will look better on the release date.

  • Guymelef

Don’t think it was bad, but it wasn’t THAT bad. Was it good? Perhaps, but not THAT good either. Average for me. I’d say Fast Racing Neo had better graphics. However, it won’t stop me from getting it.

  • Prütsa

Ehh.. Yeah.. I don’t care for graphics

  • Zuflus

Average, but more then good enough for me 😉 and I also think it will improve over time.

  • *NormalGamer*

As long as the gameplay is good, i’m not concerned about how the graphics look; I play games for the ‘gameplay'; anything else is a bonus..

  • Jon Turner

Not the most detailed looking game on the WiiU that I’ve seen from Nintendo to date, but it still looks promisingly solid. That is to say, it DOES look aesthetically pleasing and true in spirit to what Star Fox was. There are a couple of places where some more work needs to be done on the graphics, though, but I’m not worried about that. I’m sure it’ll be fine in the end.

  • abINC4l

Honestly the only thing that makes this game look bad is the lack of textures in the natural environments (water looks fine though). The structures, arwings, and character models all look great so once that’s improved, the game will look MUCH better.

  • Mythosa

At this point they are, IMO of course, bad. It looks like a GC/Wii game but upscaled. There are parts that look like they are mostly up to par. The water looks decent and some of the textures here and there, but it seems really uneven right now. I’m sure with time it will be fine, but for now… Not so much.

  • Revolution5268

You guys did you all forget that this game is not even done? Remember Splatoon Beta Trailer where the game looks the same but the background and map details is completely different from the final product.

    Look very carefully

    • android138

The ink strike animation is a tornado in the game. This trailer shows it like an small atom bomb explosion . Just goes back to show how much it can change.

  • GeneralBrown178

I picked average for my choice, but honestly i’m just glad to see my favorite mercenary team back in action on home consoles!!

  • NBR

It’s going to improve over time till release just like… oh I don’t know just every Nintendo game ever.

  • uPadWatcher

If EAD and Platinum Games decided to add some polishes to the visual, would change my vote at once. I have confidence the two best developer will continue to keep it up.

    • Liquid-Sunrise

      Exactly! 😀

  • Phantom_6thMan

I think they look pretty solid. I’m sure they will improve in time for release.

    • https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeqVK6IRhSAzMTVrInpg03Q Otaku DJK1NG

wow this is the third time seen you. On three different site lol

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/PwerlvlAmy GameNChick

i think they look fine, not great, but they look good for what the game is. I know I’m still hyped for the game
