Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, has stressed that that Mafia III is a completely different experience, as comparisons to GTA V came FLYING in after it’s Gamescom 2015 reveal.

“Mafia III is a completely different experience,” said Zelnick. “I wouldn’t compare it to anything else out there. The reveal [at Gamescom] was great, but it stands alone.”

“We don’t use any other game in the same sentence as Grand Theft Auto. It is the industry’s standard-bearer. It’s not up for comparison.”

Mafia III is set for release between mid 2016 and early 2017.

of course it will provide a different experience than GTA, last I read, they say it’s a mixture of a different open-world experiences… and kinda the same… making it possibly, meh…

i actually liked Mafia II. but after going through it, somehow I played less and less PC games, not to mention open-world games; and played more 3DS and Wii U games in the process.

Can’t compare a game about Italians and a game based on a black guy being “black” because us every black guy sells drugs, live in the ghetto, and shout the N word (Francis and I know), a trashy white guy, and a white guy who turns trashy.
And I thought the industry standard was 1080p, 60 fps on next gen, which only seems to be on the PS4 70% of the time.

    >GTA

    >Industry standard

What, you mean in providing empty overworlds filled with stale minigames that are broken up by broken, repetitive shooting segments?
