Unfortunately. Some people will use this as evidence that when a white person makes a video about dead people. No hate from that. But when a black person says the same thing? He gets called a horrible monster. Not gonna say who it is. But he probably is doing it right now.

What I hope they try to do is to get someone who can run the company competently and help maintain better relations with third parties. As I said in the podcast last weekend, Nintendo’s next system will need a better variety of games than WiiU ended up with. Not that I dislike WiiU; I do, but it really could have used better treatment. Hopefully whoever’s in charge of Nintendo now won’t make that error again.

Still, this is not meant to disparage Iwata in any way. The man will be missed. Yes, he did make choices I didn’t always agree with, but his accomplishments were still commendable.

I feel that Nintendo should keep on charting the path that Iwata has layed down for the company; the NX; the DeNA collaoration; the Nintendo theme park; the QoL (quality of life); and it’s collaborations with other companies using Nintendo IP for other media such as film, comics and television.

It will be really sad that Iwata, now that he’s passed so suddenly, will never live to see his plans come to life. :(

According to Reggie, that’s what they plan on doing.

Yes, I already read his Iwata tribute.

I’m at least confident about that. And Nintendo itself tends to pick people that have worked there for years to take on high positions-I have no doubt they’ll do the same here.
